HEM band saws are well known for their
reliability and accuracy. A HEM Vertical Band
Saw will give years of accurate band sawing life
Motor & gearbox are encased in the upper head of
the saw away from the coolant and chip area.
This engineering philosophy sets us apart from
our competitors as, as the life of these
components are significantly increased by this
protection.
HEM vertical band saws use only the highest
quality standard components such as Lincoln
Electric variable speed motors, Borg Warner
Morse gearboxes and Allen Bradley electrics.
The perpendicular guide arm provides solid
support to the back of the blade, resulting in
less vibration and increased blade life.
It is fully adjustable to the height of the
material.
Flat carbide guides provide solid support to
each side of the vertical band saw blade,
increasing the stability of the band saw blade
through the material. Band Saw Blade Guides are
ground and relieved towards the twist of the
blade to make the transition into the
perpendicular position easy on the blade.
HEM Vertical Band Saw Vises are engineered for
versatility and ease of operation, and come
standard with infinitely variable clamping
pressure. Stops are set off the front of
the band saw vise plate, preventing the
possibility of cutting off your vises.
Because we put the motor & gearbox on top of the
band saw, we have to counterbalance the head
with dead weight. This makes our band saw
head heavier than the competitors, resulting in
less vibration and increased blade life.
The simplicity of the control is designed for
operator friendliness and is positioned at the
front of the saw.
