The 2007 Ocean Dealer meeting was held at The Hilton Beachside
Resort on Fort Lauderdale's infamous beaches. The brand new resort hotel was
absolutely stunning and a perfect choice for the event. Every room had an ocean
or intracoastal view and several had both!
On Friday 30th, after presenting the awards for the top Ocean
dealers and salesmen, Danny Steyn, Hunter Fry and the Ocean Team
conducted an intensive sales seminar. Our featured guest speaker was Mike Sharp, the president
of Peddinghaus Corporation, who gave a very clear insight into the current state
of the US and worldwide steel
fabricating market. That afternoon the attendees were
transported via trolley to Ocean Machinery's offices and showroom next to the Fort
Lauderdale Executive airport.
All the Ocean products were on display and attendees got to see
the newest machines and products doing what they were designed for - processing
steel as quickly and as inexpensively as possible.
That evening a great dinner was held at the Hilton Beach resort.
The following day the attendees had the pleasure of discovering the stunning Fort
Lauderdale intracoastal waterway aboard a beautiful charter boat - a 78ft Manhattan
Sunseeker
appropriately named "More Liabilities".

Kevin Woods working for Advance Machinery out of Alabama, was a strong
contender for the title and came in a very close 2nd place to Earle
Mabe.
In third
place was Buzz Daldos of Fabricating Equipment - Buzz is based out of
Idaho.
